In Apocalypse Now(1979), sound designer Walter Murch synthesized artificial mosquito sounds in scenes in the Vietnamese jungle in order to create unease in the audience. Nth takes this idea and runs with it. It's unnerving tiny sounds - subverting comforts like insect chirps, fire crackles or old vinyl - exemplify the immense power even the smallest sounds can have on our psyche. Acoustic Ecologist
